“Writing is Israel’s superpower.”

– Eric M

Welcome to My World of Words

Hello! Welcome to a space where my past writings and current endeavors blend to showcase a journey of growth and expression. This website started as a personal blog, a candid outlet for my thoughts and reflections. The older posts you’ll find here are untouched by SEO or Google Analytics—simple, raw, and from the heart, without images, tags, or hyperlinks. They stand as a testament to my beginnings and are a valuable part of my story.

Evolving with Words

As my journey continued, so did my writing. With an academic background in Koine Greek and Biblical Hebrew, I’ve delved deep into the scriptures, transitioning from widely accepted translations to crafting my own. This transition wasn’t just about changing texts but deepening my connection with my faith. The posts you’ll see now are enriched with images, links, and tags, reflecting a more polished and public-facing style. These pieces are not just writings; they are my heart’s expressions, woven through the fabric of my faith in Jesus.

Professional Prowess

Beyond personal reflections, this site also houses examples of my professional capacity. My career spans creating technical process documents—from policies and procedures to training manuals. While I cannot share these proprietary documents, I include them to demonstrate my capability and versatility in writing across various genres, including marketing copy, YouTube narratives, and book manuscripts. Proficient in both the Chicago Manual of Style 17 and AP style, my skills also extend to copy editing, with a role as a Senior Copy Editor at a small Christian Publishing Press.

My Aspiration

More than anything, I am compelled to write. Writing is not just a skill; it’s been called my superpower. Yet, this platform isn’t a showcase of perfection. It reflects a real, flawed journey in faith and understanding. I am imperfect—I struggle with every small step and battle doubts like anyone else. But in these struggles, I find strength in Jesus, who carries my burdens and renews my hope.

My Invitation to You

This blog is an invitation to witness my journey, but more importantly, it’s an invitation to anyone looking for strength and hope. In my weaknesses, I discover the strength of Jesus. Turn to Him, keep turning, and find solace in His grace.

Christ must increase. I must decrease.

In Summary

Every word here is a step toward greater understanding and faith in God. Join me on this voyage, and let’s grow together in spirit and truth.

Jesus helps me understand the world. I am Iz. My goal is to share my daily fight in the hopes of being an example. An example of what exactly? Of someone who is trying live victoriously in Jesus. I fail often. Just as often, the Holy Spirit provides comfort as Jesus advocates for me before God the Father’s throne. It is my constant reality. It is a liberating reality.
